The Extron IPL T PC1 and IPL T PC1i AC Power and Device Controllers
with IP Link
®
feature a single AC power outlet, RS-232, an IR output and
a contact closure input. Both models include Extron IP Link technology,
enabling flexible, centralized, Web-based power and device management.
The IPL T PC1 supplies up to 12 A of 120 VAC power, using an Edison
outlet. The IPL T PC1i supplies up to 10 A of 220 VAC power, using an IEC
outlet. They can be used to cycle power to a “frozen” A/V device or be
configured to turn the device ON or OFF at scheduled times for security
and energy savings. For real time notification, the controller can be
programmed to send out an e-mail when each event is performed.
Web-based A/V device management is further enhanced by the RS-232
and IR ports which can be used to remotely control the operation of a
DVD player, VCR, or display.
The contact closure input port can be connected to a switch or sensor
for theft detection or automated device control. The software can be
configured to trigger a user-definable action when the input senses a drop
in voltage, such as sending an email when a device is disconnected or
disabling the power outlet when a cabinet is opened.
The IPL T PC1 Series controllers can be configured using Extron’s easy-to-
use free configuration software, Global Configurator. The IPL T PC1 and
IPL T PC1i are easily integrated alongside other IP Link products and can
be remotely managed and controlled using the free GlobalViewer Web
application.
The integration of AC power control with device control in a single
enclosure, makes IPL T PC1 Series controllers ideal for a wide variety of
remote networked applications.
